Ippee Nihee deebiru! Thank you and Mahalo for your support at the SENJUKAI'S AWAMORI FESTIVAL 2009!

Although it rained this year, we were touched and moved by all the people who have stayed until the very end and encouraged us with the kind words. We are soo grateful for your kindness and generosity.

This year, we had incorporated the "Toys for Tots" with our Awamori Fest  to give back to the community and it was a success.  We thank  all the people who brought toys for the event. This truly describes the true meaning of giving during Christmas.

We thank the Nidaime Teishinkai Hawaii Shibu for the Okinawan music and minyo, Mel  Gushiken for the sounds, Sharen Nakashima for the Emcee, Alice Inoue for the blessing and  all the people who generously donated and came to the event to support our school.   Your thoughtfulness is never forgotten.  We promise to continue perpetuating our Okinawan culture and give back to the community. We will work harder to make a successful event next year.   Mata rainen mo Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!!

The Awamori Fest event helps raise funds for our future recitals and provide scholarships to students who will be taking the test in Okinawa to further their dance skills.

By providing scholarships, we are encouraging students to further their studies and to learn more in depth about Okinawan culture in Okinawa from our masters, Tanita Yoshiko Sensei and Kinjo Mieko Sensei. GREAT OPPORTUNITY!

We welcome donation and sponsorships for our recital. Please make check payable to Senjukai Hawaii and mail to P.O. Box 10446 Honolulu, HI 96816

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of you who have supported this event in the past. We look forward in seeing you again this year.

To reserve Okinawan dance performances, please email info@senjukaihawaii.com or call 808-780-4334. We will need the date, time, location,  purpose of the event and the length of performance time.
